INFESTED DISPLAY/LEAFS

Overview

TOOL DESCRIPTION

We plant pots with seeds treated with Fortenza Duo, other pots with competitor treatments. At different times (3, 7, 10, 15, 20 days after emergence) we take leaf discs from these plants. We inoculate these leaf discs with neonate caterpillars in Petri dishes with adequate humidity and temperature (25C), for 2 days. We separate leaf discs with typical damage levels, dry them, and stick them to paper sheets, with adequate description of each treatment / age of leaf / pest
We apply contact plastic to these paper sheets («lamination»), to make them easier in use and fior the longer time (sample protection)

ALREADY ESTABLISHED FOR:

Soybean

HOW IT IS USED

We explain to the growers about the residual power of Fortenza Duo against most important initial leave-eating caterpillars (Spodoptera, Helicoverps), how it can protect the leaf area of the early crop, and avoid very early sprays.
